A team member from the Volunteer Department will contact you to discuss the next steps in becoming a volunteer.

CONSTRUCTION & CRITICAL REPAIRS:

Do you love working with your hands? We need volunteers to help with our New Construction and Critical Home Repairs.

No experience is needed; skilled supervision is provided.
Volunteer days for new construction projects are Fridays and Saturdays, and occasional Thursdays.
All-day Shift: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
16-17 years old, must have an adult 21 or older volunteering as well.

SKILLED CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEER:

Do you know your way around a construction site? We are seeking skilled construction volunteers. These volunteers play a crucial role in collaborating with our staff and fellow volunteers. Skilled volunteers assist our staff in construction activities while maintaining a safe work environment. This is a long-term volunteer position that allows you to utilize your management and construction skills.

We understand that not everyone is comfortable outdoors or using tools. Therefore, we offer alternative volunteer opportunities that do not require working on a construction site.

RESTORE VOLUNTEER:

Do you LOVE providing excellent customer service? Do you like meeting new people? Then working in one of our ReStore locations is the right fit for you.

Sales Associate
Repair Specialist
Receiving and Processing Specialist
Electronic Tester
Cashier

Time Commitment:

2 or 4-hour shifts per week or bi-weekly
Long-term commitment: 6 months – 1 Year
One-time volunteer opportunities are based on seasonal needs.

Available Shifts:

Hours are flexible between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

We are looking for Community Leaders to become committee members on one of the following New Volunteer Committees.

Volunteer Hospitality Committee

OFFICE ASSISTANTS:

Do you like working on special projects? We are looking for office helpers (marketing, social media, outreach, miscellaneous office help).

Release and Waiver of Liability Form

Click here for the Liability and Release Waiver: All Habitat for Humanity of York County volunteers must complete a Release and Waiver of Liability Form in order to volunteer in any capacity. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer with our organization on the construction site or in the ReStore. All volunteers under the age of 18, must have a parent/legal guardian sign the Release and Waiver of Liability prior to participating in volunteer activities. The demographic data collected are confidential and used for grant reporting only, not for consideration for volunteering. We do not release personal information.
